Home Automation can be a difficult subject to explain, with it being an incredibly conceptual topic, it is a lot easier to show someone, rather than talk about it. I am thrilled to have been asked to write this blog for www.idnews.co.uk and hopefully I will be able to help demystify technology for you.
I am a Systems Design Engineer at heart but now form part of the Technical Sales team across the residential sector for Crestron UK, for those of you who haven’t heard of Crestron, (how?!) below is a bit of information about what we do and how we work with interior designers.
Over the last few years we have seen an increase in home technology, because it is becoming more accessible and clients are expecting more from their properties. It can be a complex task for interior designers to incorporate technology into a building, whilst ensuring it doesn’t have a negative impact on the aesthetics. At Crestron we understand the importance of assimilating technology into a home to further enrich the quality of projects and simplify the design and technology integration process. We operate in unison with interior designers to ensure visions and concepts are transformed into a reality and create spaces that operate efficiently, with minimal control interface and no wall clutter!
Crestron is the leading provider of control and automation systems for a broad range of applications, from small to large residential projects, to commercial buildings such as; offices, hotels, schools, hospitals and more. With innovative technology they simplify and enhance modern lifestyles.
Total Home Technology from Crestron integrates and links technology in the home, offering the ultimate lifestyle of quality, comfort and convenience. It eliminates the need to walk from room to room to adjust drapes, lights, temperature, and audio/video components. Whether from an easy-to-use colour touch panel, iPad, remote, or a customized keypad, total control is always at your fingertips.
Committed to the interior design industry, Crestron recently opened a Design and Experience Centre in Cobham, providing designers with a space to experience the technology first hand, and discover the possibilities available.
