Clerkenwell Design Week
23-25 May

Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week has created a showcase of leading UK and international brands and companies presented in a series of showroom events, exhibitions and special installations that take place across the area. Celebrating its eight year in May 2017 (23-25) CDW has firmly established itself as a leading independent design festival in the UK and annually attracts the international design community to this small area of London for three days of exciting events. In 2016, the design community flocked to Clerkenwell with 34,973 attendees and over 300 exhibiting brands.

BIID Conference: Inside Knowledge

This year the BIID will use its annual industry conference to focus on business success to help attendees build a thriving interior design business. Inside Knowledge: The BIID Business Success Conference has been developed to deliver real and actionable guidance as well as strategic insights and practical ideas that interior designers can apply to their business. This year’s event will take place on Thursday 8th June at 30 Euston Square, London.

The BIID conference will be a full day of informative talks and interactive sessions led by industry experts, designed to support interior designers on developing a successful interior design practice. With talks on future trends, how to build your interior design brand, debates on ethics and real life case studies, the conference is suitable for interior designers setting up a new practice, as well as those already running an existing business who are looking for new and innovative ideas.

The Art & Antiques Fair, Olympia returns to London for the 44th year with an impressive dealer line-up and exciting new content. The 2016 edition will introduce the first London version of the critically acclaimed Chicago-based show, The Sculptural Objects Functional Art and Design Fair (SOFA). SOFA is dedicated to three-dimensional art and design. A dedicated pavilion will feature SOFA LONDON at Olympia. Olympia is delighted to announce the return of HALI, the showcase of internationally renowned textiles businesses, following on from the success of their participation in the 2015 fair.  Brand new for the 2016 fair is a showcase section welcoming new and emerging galleries and dealers who have been running for seven years or less.

This will add a new dimension to the event by giving visitors access to selected up-and-coming talent which wouldn’t usually be seen at an international fair of this calibre.
